Soldier settlers
The contribution made to the Cavendish District by the Soldier Settlers who took up blocks after the second World War is remembered and recorded by Settlers Walk along the banks of the Wannon River in Cavendish.
Ceremonies
An ANZAC Day march is held held at 9.00am at the Cavendish War Memorial in the town square (Cnr of Scott and Barker Street.) The service following at the Soldiers' Memorial Hall includes a guest speaker and morning tea.
Gardens
Whilst those who fell in conflict are listed on the Cavendish memorial those who returned and have had a link with the area are remembered with a plaque in a Memorial Garden.
